Like our first post said, "Graduating at age 18 along with work experience is no longer a fantasy. It is now a part of our very own Sri Lankan DREAM!". In the long term, we want to make this dream possible for everyone. We are organically scaling what we do to do just that. Below are other parallel initiatives we will take to make it possible.
[1] Island-wide Training Sessions for Rural Areas: From the first year onwards we are open to every Sri Lankan between 16-21. But chances are, only urban & sub-urban students will benefit the most since language skills and IT skills are good with them. So, it SHOULD NOT END THERE. Starting late-2021, we hope to conduct training sessions for rural areas to teach them on IT skills, language skills and other soft skills to make this dream possible for them too. Imagine the number of great minds we have overlooked due to lack of access. Let's CHANGE THIS!
[2] Blog on Careers & Education Guidance: The professional world out here is full of opportunities! However, not everyone knows about these opportunities. Let's take an example. Most people don't know the difference between something as simple as Business Analytics and Business Analysis. So we hope to document and blog about these opportunities. This would be open to anyone. Imagine the number of people who settled for a job that demands less than their potential. Let's CHANGE THIS!
[3] Success Stories of GREAT Minds: To uphold our commitment to helping the Sri Lankan talent to be brands themselves, we hope to create a blog of success stories. So they can showcase their good work, be highlighted and actively contribute to making a difference! Imagine the number of people missing the spotlight due to media being focused on blame stories and whatnot. Let's CHANGE THIS!
[4] Annual Awards Night to RECOGNISE Everyone: In order to give visibility for the good work done by our Candidates, Education Providers, Corporate Partners, Schools and everyone who helped to make this vision a reality, we hope to host an annual awards night! The goal is to help these great performers to brand themselves better. Because being known for good work can be just as important as doing good work in order to be sustainable. We are doing just that. Imagine the number of great performers who do all the heavy lifting for organisations behind the scenes. Our goal is to give visibility to them. Let's DO THIS!
