About Transpire Sri Lanka

Our Vision

Our long-term vision is to see Sri Lanka being a developed country. We have an ambition to see Transpire Sri Lanka being the leading social-enterprise, in contributing with empowered talent to see that national-level vision being a reality. That goal in mind, below is our vision statement, manifesting these aspirations!

Our vision is "...to be the national initiative to identify, empower and reward the Sri Lankan talent; to accelerate their career by proactively transforming them from students to value-adding professionals."

Our Mission

Our mission is to make our initiative as inclusive as possible. To accommodate everyone from Sri Lankan talent to top-corporates to top education providers. This will enable us to build a self-sustaining ecosystem to make a sustainable difference in our country.

Our mission is about "...building an objective process to identify the talent in Sri Lanka. Thereby, linking them with our ecosystem of top education providers and top corporates, which will enable us to educate, train and recruit the talent identified."

Our Legacy, Our Story

All of it started as an ambitious idea to make a positive difference. A few years ago, I, Tuhan Sapumanage graduated from Coventry University, UK at age 18. I also followed the UK-based professional qualification CIMA, which I completed just three-weeks after turning 19. Then in the same year, I also won the CIMA [Global] Student of the Year award being the only Sri Lankan to be so.

This gives me a bunch of credentials I could make a positive difference in the world. In my winning speech at the CIMA Award Night, I promised to make use of these credentials to add value to a wider audience. Among many things I started afterwards, Transpire Initiative stays at the heart of it.

Any one of us could be the smartest person ever. But alone, there is only so much difference we can make. So I thought of ways to scale my vision, to make it possible for other great Sri Lankan minds as well. In my journey I have met many great minds. I have heard about many great minds. So this is an attempt to empower them too. To build our own Sri Lankan dream.
